Facts: Defendant (D) (Subramanian) was convicted of being in possession of ammunition. D sought to advance a defence of duress, by testifying that the terrorists threatened him and his family. The trial judge (TJ) prevented D from adducing evidence of the threats made to him by terrorists on the ground of hearsay.
